Since its launch in early July, we have seen a large amount of US orders sent to our print partners in the United States. In recent weeks we have seen an increase in shipping times, as the facility worked to keep pace with the huge influx of demand from Bookvault.
To address this, we took the decision to ship some of the overflow from our facility in the UK. We aim to produce those orders within 1-2 business days to counteract the longer shipping times; covering the additional costs ourselves. We have impressed upon our shipping partner the need to further increase shipping speeds and are confident this will soon take effect. By leveraging the capabilities of our UK facility in this way, we can more effectively and dynamically manage the workload and ensure that all orders are processed and fulfilled within the stipulated timelines.
To clarify, this is done at no extra cost to yourself, Bookvault is absorbing the increased shipping costs on these orders. This is a measure taken to deliver a more timely service to customers.
Additionally, our US facility is investing heavily in new equipment and staff to increase the printing threshold. This initiative is part of our continued commitment to enhance our capacity and better serve the US market for the ever-growing indie publishing community.
