Following a month of successful test orders printed in Australia, we are excited to announce that you will now be able to print select titles directly in Australia through the Bookvault portal!
To begin with, we are printing paperbacks in our usual wide range of trim sizes, just like in the UK. We will not be printing hardbacks in Australia yet, however we will be actively pursuing partners who can provide this option. All standard paper stocks are available except 170gsm, allowing you to print high-quality books closer to your readers while saving on shipping costs and reducing delivery times.
This update is being released today, but it may take 24-48 hours to appear in your direct sales stores.
Bespoke options remain available only via UK production. As with our US partnerships, we will continue developing our Australian print offering, with more options rolling out over time!
It is important to note that all products printed from the UK are still available to ship to Australia.
How to enable Australian fulfilment on your store
To take advantage of domestic Australian print on your direct store, you will need to enable it under ‘App settings’ in the Bookvault portal, as you would with other print locations.
Enable this feature by visiting ‘Apps’ > ‘App Settings’ and then toggling your print locations, you also have the option to update your existing products to include these added locations.
Please note that these changes may take a few hours to update in your store. Ensure that you calculate product pricing when adding print locations to avoid selling at a loss, due to differing print and shipping prices across markets.
